Major project in Croatia: GIS Aqua wins construction contract
GIS Aqua was commissioned to build a new fully biological wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Dakovo in May 2022, launching the next major project in Croatia.
The plant consists of an intake pumping station with mechanical pre-cleaning. Furthermore, the WWTP provides the option of external fecal assumption. The process is based on the SBR system, a sequential biological treatment. In the following phase, the wastewater is cleaned and filtered before being returned to the water circulation.
The total investment in the new construction of the WWTP amounts to EUR 11.67 million. GIS Aqua takes part as the general contractor in this project. The cleaning plant has a capacity of 33,000 PE and a construction time of 31 months.
